Well, I learned a lot from doing the craft fair, but did not sell enough to cover the cost of my booth. I have a lot of thinking to do about my next step, obviously. I'm not giving up, though. I did sell a few things and got some of my business cards out there, so I might have someone's friend calling to order. I also have one that will almost surely be an order for my last doll and besides those, I got an order for several things (including that same doll) the night before my show. So I will make another doll, at least, and then figure where to go from there.
I also made a great contact with someone who has an artisan's blog for our area. She wants to do an interview and take photos for the blog and that can't be bad! Who knows where that may lead.

Later, we rearranged everything, making the booth much more open, and on Sunday I rearranged again, making a section front and center with reduced and half-priced items. That's all I sold on Sunday, so I'm glad I did that.
I was a little disappointed that I wasn't placed where I was told I'd be, and also that there were no banners. Last year when I attended this same show there were simple printed banners with the name of the company over each booth. I assumed it would be the same this year and so let my idea of making my own or buying a professionally printed banner go for this show and had nothing to say the name of my business, other than my tiny business cards. I will be sure and take care of that for the next show for sure.
As I said, I learned a lot and had fun meeting people. My husband and sis-in-law both helped me so much, and one or the other of them were always in attendance with me, on the off-chance that things would get busy. Hah! Oh well.
